~~~ The Athame ~~~
A black handled knife that suits the owner,
normally made of steele.
This knife is used in Ritual only and should
never be used for cutting.
With a blunt blade & tip to avoid a mishap.
During Ritual gestures within the circle.
~~~ The White Handled Knife ~~~
The White handled knife is a working tool,
used for cutting things .Or inscribing in candles e.t.c.
This knife is sharp unlike the Athame and should ,
alway be kept sharp..
~~~ The Sword ~~~
The sword can be ritually exchanged with your Athame.
We attribute it therefore with ,
The Element Of Fire,and is essentually masculine.
Usually used to cast a coven circle ..
Other than you would use your Athame for a private casting.
~~~ The Wand ~~~
The wand represents The Air Element.
Air is the element of the left- brain,
Linear-Logical Facility.
Usually used in a circle to call upon and control,
certain Angels and Genii.
For this a sword would not be a proper tool.
~~~ The Pentacle ~~~
The pentacle is a primary earth symbol.
Like that of the wand.
A symbol of The Earth Mother
and can be,
taken as feminine.
The centre piece of the Alter ,
in which things are consecrated upon.
~~~ The Scourge ~~~
The Scourge has atleat two uses.
(1)A symbolic use
(2)A monotonous semi-hypnotic application to,
effect blood circulation in aid with gaining sight.
~~~ The Cords ~~~
Every Witch should have a set of their own cords.
Of three different colors(Red,Blue,&White.)
Each cord should be nine -feet in length.
The only exception in other length ,
are the cords for Initiation Binding.
And they would be two ,four foot six inch cords.
~~~ The Chalice ~~~
The Chalice represents ,
The Element Of Water.
A feminine aspect
It is used in the circle for wine,
which has been consecrated and passed around.
And is also used in The Great Rite Ritual to,
represent the woman.
~~~ The Censer ~~~
Incense belongs to The Elment of Air.
A good general purpose incense is frankincense.
But a selection of incense will be good,
since the aeroma is intended to create an,
atmosphere for the particular occasion.
~~~ The Cauldron ~~~
Like the Chalice ,which is a larger version.
A Feminine symbol..
Can be used for flowers,
burning incense,water,
fire , or leaping over within fertility rites.
